The new Perry Auto warehouse designed by MSK Canada

Improved flow and performance for this automotive parts leader from Montreal.

In June 2015, Perry Auto moved into their brand new location in Laval. With a bigger showroom and twice as much inventory, Perry Auto needed an efficient and well-organized warehouse, a project expertly lead by the expert at MSK Canada.

Solid Foundation

MSK selected Metalware shelving as the base for the whole layout. With 600 lb of capacity per shelf and a structure that exceed load standards, it's no surprise this Canadian manufacturer has been the leader for 50 years. A total of 250 shelving units of 10’4’’ were installed on the first floor of the warehouse.

Second Gear

The amazing strength of Metalware allowed MSK to use them as a foundation for a mezzanine where less popular parts are stored in 7’4’’ shelving units. The complete setup is 17’10’’ tall and uses 100% of the height allowed by law, perfectly maximizing internal space.

Staying in the Power Band

Expert in workflow optimization, MSK recommended Perry Auto with the layout of its inventory, keeping the fast moving parts near the front desk to maximize picking rates. To achieve this, Metalia high-capacity drawers (440 lb capacity per drawer) were installed into the Metalware shelving. The adjustable compartments and 100 % opening typical to Metalia allow precise sorting and help find the right part quickly.

Support Vehicle

At the back of the building, MSK installed a full height racking to help store and handle heavy skids with the forklift. Perry Auto uses this space for motor oil, fluids as well as tires.
